Pour L'Amour du Fil
i have been having difficulty with downloading pictures but I am going to try again tonight. There is so much that i want to add to my blog as so much seems to have happened in the last week - lots of lovely things!
It was such a pleasure to be able to share my work with all the lovely freanch people who came to the show. Even though I cant speak much French it is still possible to communicate with many hand gestures. I had such a fun time with many of the other artists exhibiting there and have made some very special friends Kathy and John from Australia. Kathy is the owner of Material Obsession Patchwork and Quilting shop in Sydney. Brigitte Giplin also from Australia who makes some amazing hand stitched quilts.
I feel so inspired now to keep going and do more teaching etc
More to follow tomorrow!

Nantes
Today has been an exhausting day - teaching and talking to people all day here at the show in Nantes. I photographed my stand. I am next to Val Holmes. There are some fabulous pieces of work here at the show and tomorrow I will post some more photographs.
We came through several lovely towns on the way to Nantes. it was good to have toime to look at them as when we came past in September we were cycling too fast to really have a good look.

1000 new cards
I spent yesterday putting cards into cellophane packets as I have had 1000 new cards printed. Here they are all pinned onto a board. I hope to sell lots in France next week.
I have completed a few more pieces of work this week, I cant show the FOQ entry on my blog but it is almost finished, here is the Farmyard piece for Jackie's challenge and I made a 6x8 - March. My daughter is in South America this month
I go to France on Sunday to exhibit at Quiltmania in Nantes for the Love of the thread show. I am teaching how to make flowers and slippers

Indian Block printing
Today I gave my studio a long overdue clean up, it will probably need doing again before my students return after the holidays but it does look a bit cleaner.
As part of the India project my studenst are working on we have been looking at the block printing in the Jaipur area of India, following my visit to the Anoki Museum of Printing. We attended a block printing course there and bought a load of small pieces of fabric from the Government craft shop in Jaipur. I also bought some fabric from other shops in india, some from Udaipur and some from Ahmedabad. Today I started to cut small pieces and stick them in my sketch book .
